Pansy is quite at home with her new family.

Pansy came to the RAPS Sanctuary as a rescued Urban Barn Kitten. There, she and her siblings thrived on the wonderful care they received. We had not planned on adopting a "young" cat but fell in love with the now 8 month old youngster. We have had Pansy for over 2 months and what a joyful addition to our family she has been. Pansy has given our 12 year old cat, Mcduff, a new lease on life and she considers our 11 year old Sheltie her "older" sister! Pansy is still a little shy with strangers but as you can see by the pictures, she has made herself quite at home with her new family. ~ Cathy and Don

Officer Burnham has a way with dogs

The RAPS City Shelter dogs always seem to rally around Officer Burnham after a long day rescuing animals.

Urban Barn Cats still looking for forever homes

Last summer RAPS rescued around 100 cats from an a barn in Richmond. Known as the Urban Barn cats, a few of those young cats are still looking for forever-homes. This little guy loves to peak over the barrier and watch the small dogs behind the desk at the Richmond Animal Shelter.

Boomer (formerly Ashley) is doing great!

Hi RAPS,

I just wanted to give you an update. We are all doing great. Ashley (we still haven't renamed her...maybe we won't?) is fabulous! She is such a good dog, she just needs a leader. Derek from BarkBusters was here yesterday and got us started off on the right foot. I can't believe the progress in 24 hours. It's amazing!

Attached are a few photos I've taken so far. Enjoy!

Cheers,
Paula & Ash

"What a girl!" is Miki May

Hi RAPS:
As promised, here is a photo of "Bat Girl" taken on Feb. 1/10. She has settled in amazingly well. She has a wonderful disposition and we love her so much. What a girl she is! Her new name is now Miki May.

Regards,

Darlene & James

P.S. We would just like to add a thank you for the opportunity for letting us adopt her.
