Spirit

Hi everyone

I just wanted to send you all a little note to say that Spirit is settling in to her new home beautifully. It took her a few days to actually relax, but she is getting more playful, walking on the leash like an angel and seems a little more happier each day.

We absolutely love her and she is a fantastic fit to our home. She seems really happy, and is even dancing sometimes. Her favourite snack has become the peas from our garden, which she gracefully chews like a lady. And man, can that girl run….i have been roller blading with her and she just loves it!

Thank you again for all your help and homing her with us.

Nico

Hi Everyone,

I am just emailing a quick note to let you know that our ''Nico," previously Heidi, is adjusting well to our home and life in Revelstoke.

This photo is not the most dignified, but she is beautiful. She was at the end of a play time with a few other dogs.

She is getting along well with people and other dogs. She still demonstrates puppy behaviour, but nothing unusual and she is gradually becoming more confident on her own and losing her separation anxiety. She is feeling secure.

Thanks again for adopting her to us in Revelstoke.

All the best,
Becky

Essence (now Bhoda)

Hi RAPS,

I just wanted to send a quick email follow up on Essence (now answering (mostly) to Bhoda), who came home with us last Saturday Aug 13.

Though not terribly thrilled to travel home in the crate, once she got here, she wasn't content to sit still and had completed a self-guided tour of our townhouse within the first few hours. She's settled in, in no time flat: eating well, playing with anything that can be knocked around and sleeping on the bed. She's claimed a favourite spot in one window seat and quickly tested - and grasped - the difference between scratching post and everything else. She's easy going, friendly and gently playful - perfect combination for us.

She had a visit to our vet today (South Burnaby Vet) for an intro and once-over. The vet had nothing but praise for the care she'd received with you that was noted on her history sheet: from the fact that Bhoda had even been tested for FIV, to the choice in de-worming meds, the booster vaccine and her overall health, the vet was, I think, really impressed.

So, thank you for the care and for helping us find her!

Joey

Hi my name is Jacqueline and I adopted Joey 1 1/2 years ago from RAPS. I am 10 years old and Joey is approx. 3 years old. We are the best of friends. He was a mess but now he is the best. I love Joey so much.

Pasha (now Timbit)

Hi Carole & all,

Just wanted to let you know that Pasha is doing well. I have renamed him Timbit since he is a timmy (very timid) and a "bit" of a thing. If you remember he is the 1 year black manx I adopted at the end of June. Timbit spent a lot of the first weeks under my bed. He ripped holes in the fabric of the box spring and crawled up inside. I recovered the underside of the box spring but at the last minute left him a hole where he could still climb inside to feel secure. I put cardboard between the box spring and the frame so he cannot rip the new cover.

My other cat, Tommy, has come around and is now washing Timbit and trying to sleep in a ball with him. Timbit likes the washing but when he has had enough he tries to play with Tommy.

Timbit is still very timid and if I move too fast or when he hears the slightest noise he is under the bed. If I'm quiet, he spends most of the time on a perch in the front room. He loves to look out the windows and the flies don't stand a chance with him around.

I love him a lot and am so happy I adopted him.

Cheers,
Lorna
