Here are some great photos from the RAPS Cat Sanctuary during a few different season of the year. Enjoy.

Baby racoon comes in from the heat.

This baby raccoon was suffering from heat stroke and dehydration during our heat wave in Metro Vancouver last week. When he first arrive, he was almost totally incapacitated. Carol gave him fluids and he was transferred to Critter Care rescue. We are so glad the public keeps an eye out for our wild furry friends in scorching heat.

RAPS Featured on 411 Seniors Radio Show

On July 30th, 2009, the Richmond Animal Protection Society was featured on the 1/2 hour radio show called 411 Seniors Radio Show on Vancouver Co-op Radio. Christie Lagally spoke with the members of this radio show about feline foster and sponsoring, the RAPS thrift store, our shelters and more.

Animal Wellness Day at RAPS

A special thanks for our vendors including Island Vet Hospital, True Carnivores and DogSafe Pet First Aid for helping RAPS provide this event. RAPS Alumni Rabbit Disgused as Bunny!

This wonderful photo was sent to us from Elsie and Art who adopted their rabbit from RAPS. Their rabbit is almost an inter-species cross-dresser, but he's a rabbit dressed as a rabbit -- so I guess that's not CROSS-dressing! Perhaps she's a bunny ballerina. That's cool! RAPS is delighted to know that Elsie and Art are enjoying their new furry friend.

Codi is finally home for good!

Codi was a perfect dog without the perfect home. Debbie and her family have changed all that. They adopted Codi (left) and she and her new friend Shadow (right) are now best of buds. Here's the update on Codi:
